Ce soir, je vous emmène avec moi à L’Olympia, pour le concert parisien de LP. LP est une chanteuse de renom que la plupart d’entre nous ont découvert avec la chanson Lost On You sortie en 2017 et apparue dans diverses bandes originales de séries télévisées et de films. En première partie, nous retrouvons VÉRITÉ, chanteuse et auteure-compositrice américaine.
VÉRITÉ
Le concert commence sans délai à 20h tapante, avec l’entrée en scène de VÉRITÉ (aka Kelsey Regina Byrne) dans une ambiance chill. Accompagnée du guitariste Matthew Politoski, elle ne tarde pas à se lancer dans son set, alternant avec aisance entre son clavier et sa voix profonde.
Malgré le peu de temps dont elle dispose, VÉRITÉ réussit à captiver la foule avec sa performance émouvante. La foule est réceptive dès le départ et applaudit à tout rompre dès la cinquième chanson. En dehors quelques fausses notes, la voix puissante de VÉRITÉ s’impose, intacte et inébranlable.
À 20 h 30, VÉRITÉ termine son spectacle en beauté. Sa présence sur scène est indéniable, elle se déplace avec grâce et s’adresse à la foule avec aisance. Le public répond avec enthousiasme, créant une atmosphère électrique qui perdure même après la fin de son set. Bien que brève, sa prestation laisse une impression durable, préparant parfaitement le terrain pour l’arrivée de LP.
LP
Le spectacle affiche complet, les gens sont présents pour voir LP, on peut le voir et le ressentir, pendant que nous attendons qu’ils commencent, je regarde autour de moi et je vois beaucoup de merch de LP dans la foule, des t-shirts, des badges et même des ballons formant les lettres L et P et un cœur. J’ai pris quelques photos d’un groupe d’amies pour qu’elles puissent avoir un souvenir.
L’événement principal, celui que la foule attendait, LP, arrive à 20:50, comme prévu, rejoint sur scène par Andrew Berkeley Martin à la guitare, Brian Baker Stanley à la basse, J Ryan Kern à la guitare et Greg Garman à la batterie. La scène est parsemée de palmiers et de lumières LED, il y a aussi un rideau avec le logo de LP en grand, simple, mais efficace.
LP commence le concert avec la chanson Golden et immédiatement la foule est uniquement concentrée sur LP, sa voix est incroyable et je n’étais pas prête à l’entendre en live. À la cinquième chanson, When We’re High, le public chante en chœur avec LP, ils connaissent toutes les paroles et toutes les chansons.
La suivante est Mean Streak et c’est une chanson fun et très entrainante, l’énergie monte encore pour la chanson suivante, The One That You Love, issue de l’album sorti en 2021 Churches de LP, qui compte plus de 36 millions de lectures sur Spotify. Après avoir chanté ce morceau pour nous, LP parle de son amour pour Paris et de la nostalgie qui accompagne la ville pour LP. Nous avons ensuite droit à Recovery accompagné exclusivement au piano, joué par le guitariste, J Ryan Kern.
LP enchaîne avec la chanson Hold the Light, et nous parle de la paix dans le monde, la chanson a été écrite avec Andrew Berkeley Martin. Quelques chansons plus tard, LP joue Girls Go Wild, pendant laquelle un membre du public s’évanouit et LP demande à ce que le spectacle soit interrompu pour s’assurer qu’ils vont bien. Quand le concert reprend apres quelques minutes, les musiciens recommencent la chanson du début.
Le spectacle se poursuit sans autre problème par la suite, on enchaine avec la chanson Lost On You et je n’ai jamais vu/entendu autant de personnes chanter ainsi pendant un concert, c’était incroyable et on pouvait ressentir l’émotion dans la salle. LP a continué, et nous avons eu droit aux morceaux suivants, entre autres, Wild, A Woman Is Sacred et Love Lines qui a donné le nom à la tournée.
Après près d’une heure et demie, LP finit ce concert parisien avec les chansons Hola et One Last Time pour le rappel. C’était un concert incroyable et LP et leurs musiciens ont reçu une standing ovation de la part des membres du public assis.

Come with me to L’Olympia Hall, for LP’s Parisian show. LP is a renowned singer that most of us discovered with the song Lost On You released in 2017 and appeared in various TV show and movie soundtracks. They are supported by VÉRITÉ an American singer and songwriter.
VÉRITÉ
The show kicks off promptly, at 8pm, with VÉRITÉ (aka Kelsey Regina Byrne) taking the stage amidst a chill atmosphere. Accompanied by guitarist, matthew politoski, she wastes no time diving into her set, effortlessly alternating between her keyboard and soulful vocals.
Despite the short timeframe, VÉRITÉ manages to captivate the crowd with her moving performance. The audience is responsive from the get-go, clapping along to her singing by the fifth song. Despite a few faltering notes, her powerful voice shines through, unaffected and unwavering.
As the clock strikes 8:30, VÉRITÉ brings her set to a close with a flourish. Her stage presence is undeniable, as she moves with grace and speaks to the crowd with ease. The audience responds enthusiastically, creating an electric atmosphere that lingers even after her performance ends. Though brief, her set leaves a lasting impression, setting the stage perfectly for LP‘s upcoming performance.

The show is sold-out, the people are here for LP and you can see and feel it, while waiting for them to start, I look around, and I see a lot of LP merch in the crowd, shirts, pins and even balloons spelling out L and P and a heart, I even got a couple of pics of a group of friends as a souvenir for them.
The main event, the one the crowd has been waiting for, LP arrives at 8: 50pm as planned. They are joined on stage by Andrew Berkeley Martin, guitar, Brian Baker Stanley, bass, J Ryan Kern, guitar and Greg Garman on drums. The stage is sprinkled with palm trees and LED lights there is also a curtain with a huge LP’s logo, simple but striking.
LP starts the show with the song Golden and immediately the crowd is solely focused on the singer, their voice is incredible and I was not ready to hear it live. By the fifth song, When We’re High, the audience is singing along with LP and they know all the lyrics and all the songs.
The next one is Mean Streak and it’s a fun and very catchy song the energy keep ramping up for the following song, from LP’s Churches 2021 album, The One That You Love that has over 36m plays on Spotify. After singing is track for us, LP speaks on how they love Paris and how it makes them nostalgic. We then get to hear Recovery accompanied by only the piano, played by the guitarist J Ryan Kern.
LP follows up with the song Hold the Light, they tell us that they’d want peace, the track was written with Andrew Berkeley Martin. A couple of songs later, LP plays Girls Go Wild, during which an audience member faints and LP asks for the show to be interrupted to make sure they are fine. When they start back up, they ask to start the song over.
The show goes on without another issue after that, the next song is Lost On You and I have never seen / heard so many people sing along like that during a concert, it was incredible, and you could feel the emotion in the venue. LP continued on, and we got to hear the following tracks, among others, Wild, A Woman Is Sacred and Love Lines which gave the present tour it’s name.
After nearly an hour and a half, LP finished this Parisian show with the songs Hola and One Last Time for the encore. This was an amazing concert and LP and their musicians received a standing ovation from the sitting crowd members.
