[ENGLISH BELOW] NOAHFINNCE vient de sortir son premier album studio ! Intitulé Growing Up On The Internet, il est disponible via Hopeless Records. Ce premier album a été coécrit avec Danny Jones et Dougie Poynter de McFly, et produit par ST£FAN, Julia Sykes, LAWRENT (Chain Smokers, Cheat Codes), Thomas Mitchener (Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, The Damned) et Arcades (BTS). Noah est un artiste complet, il chante mais joue également de la batterie, de la basse , de la guitare et du ukulélé. L’artiste s’est initialement fait connaître en postant des covers sur sa chaîne Youtube qui compte aujourd’hui plus de 895 000 abonnés.
KINDA LOVE IT démarre avec seulement la voix de Noah accompagnée par quelques riffs de guitare avant que le morceau ne prenne une autre dimension quand les autres instruments viennent se greffer à l’ensemble. C’est le morceau qui donne son titre à l’album qui vient prendre la suite, tout de suite bien plus entraînant que le premier morceau qui était plus introductif, c’est le genre de titre influencé Punk-Rock voir un peu Emo qui va rester dans les esprits pendant un moment. 3 DAY HEADACHE est un morceau personnel où l’artiste va évoquer son surmenage et s’ouvrir tout en donnant le fond de sa pensée. Le morceau est dans la même veine que le précédent, c’est plutôt sympa mais rien d’innovant de ce côté-là. I KNOW BETTER fait presque penser à un morceau de Yungblud pour le côté instrumental mais la voix de Noah fait aussi beaucoup penser à celle de l’artiste anglais.
SUBTITLES ralentit un peu le rythme et sonne comme un morceau accoustique avant que le refrain ne vienne injecter un peu plus d’entrain au titre. SCUMBAG rappelle aussi très fort Yungblud mixé avec du 3OH!3. Noah semble ne pas sortir vraiment des sentiers battus, les morceaux sont plutôt bons mais relativement oubliables. Une composition qui s’en prend directement aux Terfs qui cachent leur haine des personnes transgenres sous couvert de protéger les enfants. LOVELY LADIES est bien plus Punk avec sa rythmique à la batterie qui accompagne la voix de Noah dès le début, un titre plutôt sympa qui reste dans les meilleurs de ce premier album. C’est le morceau GIBBERISH qui va conclure ce nouvel album, des sonorités un peu plus Electro sur les couplets et un refrain qui restera ancré dans les mémoires pendant un bon moment.
NOAHFINNCE a du potentiel et le prouve avec ce premier album! Malheureusement, certains morceaux sont très facilement optionnels à l’écoute et seuls quelques titres notamment dans les derniers de cet opus se détachent du lot et c’est bien dommage.

[ENGLISH VERSION] NOAHFINNCE has just released its first studio record! Entitled Growing Up On The Internet, it’s available via Hopeless Records. This debut album was co-written with Danny Jones and Dougie Poynter of McFly, and produced by ST£FAN, Julia Sykes, LAWRENT (Chain Smokers, Cheat Codes), Thomas Mitchener (Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, The Damned) and Arcades (BTS). Noah is an all-round artist, not only singing but also playing drums, bass, guitar and ukulele. The artist first made a name for himself by posting covers on his Youtube channel, which now boasts over 895,000 subscribers.
KINDA LOVE IT kicks off with just Noah‘s voice, accompanied by a few guitar riffs, before the track takes on a whole new dimension when the other instruments join in. It’s the title track of the album that follows on from it, immediately much more catchy than the more introductory first track, and the kind of Punk-Rock or even slightly Emo-influenced track that will stay with you for a while. 3 DAY HEADACHE is a personal track on which the artist evokes his overwork and opens up about his thoughts. The track is in the same vein as the previous one, it’s rather nice but nothing innovative. I KNOW BETTER is almost reminiscent of Yungblud on the instrumental side, but Noah‘s voice is also very reminiscent of that of the English artist.
SUBTITLES slows the pace a little and sounds like an accoustic track, before the chorus injects a little more drive into the song. SCUMBAG is also very reminiscent of Yungblud mixed with 3OH!3. Noah doesn’t really seem to think outside the box, and the tracks are pretty good but relatively forgettable. A composition that directly attacks the Terfs who hide their hatred of transgender people under the guise of protecting children. LOVELY LADIES is much more punk, with its drum rhythm accompanying Noah‘s voice from the outset, a rather nice track that remains among the best on this first album. GIBBERISH brings the new album to a close, with a more electro sound on the verses and a chorus that will stay with us for a long time.
NOAHFINNCE has potential and proves it with this debut album! Unfortunately, some of the tracks are very easy to dismiss, and only a few stand out from the rest, particularly in the latter part of the album, which is a real shame.
