[ENGLISH BELOW] Les Grecs de Rotting Christ sont de retour avec un quatorzième album nommé Pro Xristou qui sortira le 24 Mai chez Season of Mist.
L’album débute par le titre éponyme Pro Xristou qui est simple et efficace avec des riffs bien lourds et cette voix de Sakis Tolis très reconnaissable. Vient ensuite le second morceau The Apostate qui débute avec de belles mélodies qui nous embarquent vite dans un rythme plus agressif. Tout comme Like father like son qui est un son assez envoutant avec un refrain qui nous donne envie de chanter en choeurs en live avec eux.
The sixth day est plus mélancolique que les morceaux précédents à contrario de
La Lettera Del Diavolo qui est plus dynamique et exprime une certaine fureur avec une voix féminine rythmique avant de nous embarquer dans des riffs impressionnants dans The Farewell qui est assez incroyable avec des claviers en break au milieu du morceau avant de reprendre en vitesse. Le morceau qui suit Pix Lax Dax est rythmé par des harmonies mélodieuses qui nous amène au morceau suivant Pretty World, Pretty Dies qui est un morceau envoutant et ténébreux avec un refrain qui nous emporte dans leur univers.
Avant d’arriver à Yggdrasil qui est lourd et imposant avec un orchestre très présent avec toujours ce chant puissant de Sakis ET enfin l’album se clos sur Saoirse qui est un morceau très puissant avec les guitares qui s’intensifient.
Rotting Christ n’a plus besoin de faire ses preuve depuis des années autant sur album qu’en live. Pro Xristou est un très bon album que le groupe nous offre et qui va ravir les fans avec des mélodies puissantes et magistrales.

[ENGLISH VERSION] The Greeks of Rotting Christ are back with a fourteenth album called Pro Xristou which will be released on May 24 by Season of Mist.
The album begins with the eponymous title Pro Xristou which is simple and effective with very heavy riffs and this very recognizable voice of Sakis Tolis. Then comes the second piece The Apostate which begins with beautiful melodies which quickly takes us into a more aggressive rhythm. Just like Like father like son which is quite a captivating sound with a chorus that makes us want to sing along live with them.
The sixth day is more melancholic than the previous pieces in contrast to La Lettera Del Diavolo which is more dynamic and expresses a certain fury with a rhythmic female voice before taking us into impressive riffs in The Farewell which is quite incredible with keyboards breaking in the middle of the song before speeding up again. The track that follows Pix Lax Dax is punctuated by melodious harmonies which brings us to the following track Pretty World, Pretty Dies which is a captivating and dark piece with a chorus that takes us into their world.
Before arriving at Yggdrasil which is heavy and imposing with a very present orchestra always with this powerful singing from Sakis AND finally the album ends with Saoirse which is a very powerful piece with the guitars which intensify.
Rotting Christ has no longer needed to prove himself for years, both on album and live.
Pro Xristou is a very good album that the group offers us and which will delight fans with powerful and masterful melodies.
