[ENGLISH BELOW] Dragonforce est de retour le15 Mars 2024 avec leur nouvel album Warp Speed Warriors chez Napalm Records.
L’album s’ouvre sur le bombardier de bons riffs Astro warrior anthem, la batterie de Gee Anzalone nous plonge dans le bain directement avec une véritable puissance, le tempo change à la moitié du morceau et devient plus pesant.
Vient ensuite mon morceau préféré Power of the Triforce qui nous plonge dans Hyrule aux mains de Ganon de The legend of Zelda un véritable hommage au jeu. Herman Li et Sam Totman nous prouvent leurs capacités à jouer rapidement encore une fois.
Kingdom of steel nous offre une très bonne entrée en matière très rapide,un petit air des 80’s même avec la voix aiguë de Marc Hudson.
La batterie puissante nous fait un retour fracassant sur Burning heart sans oublier les guitares qui nous ravagent de bons riffs.
Space Marine corp a une entrée très militaire avec des tambours battants qui me fait penser à l’univers de Warhammer, c’est un morceau très epic avec les choeurs, on y retrouve une ambiance plus heavy.
L’album continue avec Doomsday party qui est clairement un morceau power pour headbanger et s’éclater dans le pit.
Pixel prison vient clore cet album avec son lot d’epicness avec des riffs toujours aussi vifs et puissants.
En bonus nous retrouvons Wildest dreams de Taylor Swift comme cover qui est assez fun et surprenante.
Astro warrior anthem est egalement en bonus avec Nita Straus (Alice Cooper) et Matt Heafy (Trivium) qui apporte un côté de growl assez sympathique et aussi Burning Heart avec Alissa White-Gluss (Arch Enemy), Doomsday party avec Elize Ryd (Amaranthe) et Power of the Triforce en instrumental.
Ce nouvel album est une véritable surprise, et très intéressant musicalement.

The album opens with the bombardment of good riffs Astro warrior anthem, Gee Anzalone‘s drums plunge us into the bath directly with real power; the tempo changes halfway through the song and becomes heavier.
Next comes my favorite piece Power of the Triforce which immerses us in Hyrule in the hands of Ganon from The Legend of Zelda, a real homage to the game. Herman Li and Sam Totman prove to us their ability to play quickly once again.
Kingdom of steel offers us a very good, very quick introduction to the subject, a little air of the 80’s even with the high voice of Marc Hudson.
The powerful drums make a smashing return to us on Burning Heart without forgetting the guitars which ravage us with good riffs.
Space Marine Corp has a very military entrance with beating drums which makes me think of the Warhammer universe, it’s a very epic piece with the choirs, we find a heavier atmosphere.
The record continues with Doomsday party which is clearly a power song for headbanging and having fun in the pit.
Pixel prison closes this record with its share of epicness with riffs as lively and powerful as ever.
As a bonus we find Wildest dreams by Taylor Swift as a cover which is quite fun and surprising. Astro warrior anthem is also a bonus with Nita Straus (Alice Cooper) and Matt Heafy (Trivium) who brings a pretty nice side of growl. Burning Heart with Alissa White-Gluss (Arch Enemy), Doomsday party with Elize Ryd (Amaranthe) and Power of the Triforce instrumental.
This new record is a real surprise, and very interesting musically.
