Soirée Thrash à Marseille avec Angelus Apatrida et Battlecreek (19.04.2024)

[ENGLISH BELOW] Nous nous retrouvons le 19 Avril 2024 à Marseille pour Angelus Apatrida et Battlecreek.
Je n’étais jamais venue au Molotov et ce fut une soirée agréable avec un bon plateau même si la salle est un peu petite.

L’ouverture se fait à 20h et Battlecreek commence à 20h30. Ce fut une bonne découverte de Thrash de ce groupe que je ne connaissais pas avant. C’est un groupe de Thrash allemand formé en 2004.
Les pogos commencent à se former ,dans une salle minuscule et où la scène fait 50cm le premier rang a souffert, je me décale sur le coté car j’en avais marre de prendre des coups inutiles et où je peux headbanger tranquillement. Battlecreek a une très bonne énergie communicative , le chanteur vient même au centre du pogo pour chanter. Ils ont gagné le respect du public et des nouveaux fans c’est certain.

Après une bonne première partie c’est l’heure de la tête d’affiche de la soirée les espagnols d’Angelus Apatrida arrivent et commencent par Indoctrinate ce qui nous plonge dans le bain directement. La setlist regroupe leur discographie de 8 albums, uniquement Snob et Cold seront jouées du dernier album. Guillermo Izquierdo demande aux pogoteurs de se calmer par rapport au premier rang qui tombe sur la scène..
C’est un très bon concert, les riffs s’enchainent,  les bon morceaux aussi jusqu’à arriver à l’emblematique Sharpen the guillotine qui annonce la fin et ils finissent par Serpents on parade. Les espagnols nous offrent une setlist de 10 titres ce qui est très bien.


[ENGLISH VERSION] We meet on April 19, 2024 in Marseille for Angelus Apatrida and Battlecreek. I had never been to Molotov and it was a pleasant evening with a good set even if the room is a little small.

It opens at 8 p.m. and Battlecreek starts at 8:30 p.m. It was a good discovery of Thrash from this group that I didn’t know before. They are a German Thrash band formed in 2004.
The pogos are starting to form, in a tiny room and where the stage is 50cm the first row has suffered, I move to the side because I was tired of taking unnecessary hits and where I can headbang quietly. Battlecreek has very good communicative energy, the singer even comes to the center of the pogo to sing. They have earned the respect of the public and new fans for sure.

After a good first part it’s time for the evening’s headliner, the Spanish from Angelus Apatrida arrive and start with Indoctrinate which plunges us straight into the bath. The setlist brings together their discography of 8 albums, which Snob and Cold will be played from the latest album. Guillermo Izquierdo asks the pogoteurs to calm down in relation to the first row which falls on the stage. It’s a very good concert, the riffs follow the good pieces together until arriving at the emblematic Sharpen the guillotine which announces the end and end with Serpents on parade. The Spanish offer us a setlist of 10 titles which is very good.
