[ENGLISH VERSION BELOW] Après Imperium sorti en 2023, les allemands Necrotted sont de retour avec leur sixième album studio, We Are The Gods That Tear Ourselves Apart, ce vendredi 24 avril via le label Reaper Entertainement.
Après Apotheosis, courte intro a glacer le sang, on atterrit sur Zeitenschläter (Massacreur du Temps pour la trad) en featuring avec Lukas de Mental Cruelty et dès le début le morceau va nous retourner le cerveau! C’est brutal, sombre , extrêmement lourd en bref c’est un véritable rouleau compresseur! Ce premier titre mais aussi single nous propose également des parties de guitares qui versent vers le Black Metal, quand aux deux vocalistes, Fabian et Lukas, ça ne s’arrête jamais de leur côté, ils sont très complémentaires après le style musical veut aussi sûrement ça! Et l’orchestration finale va nous conduire tout droit à Origin Of Human Sins, c’est pesant et sombre mais ça reste quelque chose de très classique oscillant entre Deathcore, Death Metal ou encore Brutal Death voir Slamming Brutal Death mais ici aussi c’est très efficace et pour une fois relativement court et le final nous laisse enseveli par la violence totale de Necrotted. Nouveau titre, nouveau featuring avec Sven De Caluwé (Aborted et Coffin Feeder) là encore le groupe ne s’est pas trompé en s’entourant d’un des meilleurs vocalistes du genre et ça va te détruire les cervicales mais aussi peut-être quelques neurones au passage mais en attendant là encore ça marche carrément bien, et on a parfois quelques pointes de mélodie au niveau des guitares entre toute cette brutalité ça fait parfois un peu de bien.
Radiant Ransom va nous surprendre avec son côté virtuose dès le début avec Fabian ne se greffe à tout ça pour continuer à balancer des parpaings après tout, on est là pour en prendre plein la tronche non? Et ce « BLEGH » judicieusement balancé pour ralentir la rythmique du morceau, et le solo final est également très bon comme précédemment dit avoir quelques « respirations » dans la musique de Necrotted n’est pas une mauvaise chose. Fat God en feat avec Alan de Distant ralentit un peu la cadence pour quelque chose de plus sombre et balançant littéralement vers le Slam (et le finish est un peu…surprenant mais drôle). Circus Sapians est également un des grands morceaux de ce nouvel album, c’est catchy et ça va rester dans les têtes un moment, peu étonnant donc qu’il soit sorti pour promouvoir l’album. Holy Shit Talker c’est le dernier featuring de cet album et comment dire que : ça respire l’intelligence et le pig squeal? En effet Fabian est rejoint cette fois-ci par Maty de Gutalax pour ce qui s’avère être notre morceau préféré sur We Are The Gods.
Necrotted sort un nouvel album à son image, ça ne change pas vraiment de ce qu’ils nous proposent d’habitude mais au moins on sait qu’on est là pour écouter quelque chose qu’on va beaucoup aimer et encore une fois le groupe fait mouche!

[ENGLISH VERSION] Following the release of *Imperium* in 2023, German band Necrotted are back with their sixth studio album, *We Are The Gods That Tear Ourselves Apart*, out this Friday, 24 April via Reaper Entertainment.
After ‘Apotheosis’, a short, blood-curdling intro, we land on ‘Zeitenschläter’ (Time Slayer) featuring Lukas from Mental Cruelty, and right from the start the track blows our minds! It’s brutal, dark and extremely heavy – in short, it’s a real steamroller! This opening track, which is also the single, features guitar parts that lean towards Black Metal, whilst the two vocalists, Fabian and Lukas, never let up; they complement each other perfectly, which is surely what the musical style demands! And the final orchestration leads us straight into ‘Origin Of Human Sins’—it’s heavy and dark, yet remains a very classic track, oscillating between deathcore, death metal, or even brutal death—or perhaps slamming brutal death—but here too it’s highly effective and, for once, relatively short, with the finale leaving us buried under the sheer violence of Necrotted. New track, new guest appearance with Sven De Caluwé (Aborted and Coffin Feeder); once again, the band has made the right choice by teaming up with one of the genre’s finest vocalists. It’ll wreck your neck, and perhaps a few brain cells in the process, but in the meantime, it works absolutely brilliantly; and there are occasional flashes of melody in the guitars amidst all this brutality, which is a bit of a relief at times.
Radiant Ransom surprises us with its virtuosity right from the start, with Fabian joining in to keep hurling bricks – after all, we’re here to get a proper beating, aren’t we? And that “BLEGH” judiciously thrown in to slow down the track’s rhythm, and the final solo is also very good – as mentioned earlier, having a few “breathing spaces” in Necrotted’s music isn’t a bad thing. Fat God, featuring Alan from Distant, slows the pace down a bit for something darker, veering literally towards Slam (and the finish is a bit… surprising but funny). Circus Sapians is also one of the standout tracks on this new album; it’s catchy and will stick in your head for a while, so it’s hardly surprising that it was released to promote the album. Holy Shit Talker is the final collaboration on this album, and how can I put it: it oozes intelligence and pig squeals? Indeed, Fabian is joined this time by Maty from Gutalax for what turns out to be our favourite track on We Are The Gods.
Necrotted have released a new album true to their style; it doesn’t really differ from what they usually offer us, but at least we know we’re in for a treat and, once again, the band hits the mark
