Holosoil est un groupe originaire de Berlin en Allemagne, composé de Victor Nissim à la basse, Jan Kurfürst à la guitare, Altaïr Chargué à la batterie, et enfin de Emelie Sederholm au chant. Bien qu’il soit basé et en Allemagne, Emelie est finlandaise, Victor et Altaïr sont français. Il nous présente leur premier EP intitulé Look Up, disponible le 17 avril 2026 par le label InsideOut.
Dès le premier morceau l’ambiance est déjà bien barrée. Look Up captive notre attention dans un univers presque parallèle. Emelie dans sa façon de chanter a des influences et ressemblances avec la chanteuse Aurora, et cela se ressent surtout dans Cracks. En parlant de ce titre, la variante dans le rythme et dans les influences en font un titre assez spécial avec une signature particulière. Cela ne va pas aller en s’arrangeant car Spirals, va clairement continuer à nous faire tourner en rond en allant dans tous les sens. Mais peut – être, est – ce le but de l’EP ? Nous pousser dans nos retranchements ? En tout cas Freakshow, nous perds complétement dans sa composition, en variant entre introduction plus lente presque simpliste tout en contre balançant avec des refrains toujours plus psychédéliques. Le contraste ne s’arrête pas là car Animal dans son rythme et chant, est presque fédératrice, mais cela ne dure que sur certaines parties.
Holosoil nous propose un EP bien décalé mais rythmé et assez hypnotisant. Le mélange Metal et Electro donne un univers psychédélique assez particulier qui ne plaira pas à tout le monde.

Holosoil is a band from Berlin, Germany, consisting of Victor Nissim on bass, Jan Kurfürst on guitar, Altaïr Chargué on drums, and Emelie Sederholm on vocals. Although the band is based in Germany, Emelie is Finnish, while Victor and Altaïr are French. They present their debut EP, titled Look Up, available on April 17, 2026, via the InsideOut label.
From the very first track, the vibe is already off the charts. Look Up draws us into an almost parallel universe. Emelie’s singing style bears influences and similarities to singer Aurora, and this is especially evident in “Cracks.” Speaking of that track, the variation in rhythm and influences make it a rather special track with a distinctive signature. It’s not going to get any easier, as “Spirals” will clearly keep us spinning in circles, going in all directions. But maybe that’s the point of the EP? To push us to our limits? In any case, “Freakshow” completely loses us in its composition, alternating between a slower, almost simplistic intro while counterbalancing it with increasingly psychedelic choruses. The contrast doesn’t stop there, as “Animal,” with its rhythm and vocals, is almost unifying—but this only lasts in certain parts.
Holosoil offers us a quirky yet rhythmic and rather hypnotic EP. The blend of metal and electro creates a rather unique psychedelic universe that won’t appeal to everyone.
