Deicide sont de retour le 26 Avril 2024 avec un nouvel opus Banished By Din sorti chez Reigning Phoenix Music.
L’album s’ouvre sur From Unknown Heights You Shall Fall avec un mid-tempo et de très bons riffs entêtants qui nous plonge dans un bain de Death Metal avec une ambiance sonore propre à eux.
Glenn Benton nous offre un très bon growl très démoniaque comme à son habitude.
La férocité des riffs continue avec Doomed To Die et Sever The Tongue qui sont de vrais bombardements de bons riffs avec Taylor Nordberg leur nouveau guitariste. Faithless est quand à lui un morceau plus Thrash à mon sens, qui déclenche une avalanche de violence.
Bury the cross..with your Christ est un titre bien musclé avec un clip assez déroutant, où Benton coupe des langues à des Chrétiens et qui nous balance un florilège de bons riffs de Death jusqu’au morceau suivant Woke from God nous offre une signature sonore propre au groupe ce qu’il sait faire de mieux. Ritual Defied ou encore les titres suivants Failures of your dying Lord sont des très bon titres qui ne nous lassent pas avec leur puissance sonore. Vient ensuite le titre éponyme Banished By Sin qui nous offre une férocité progressive, qui est une renaissance des premiers albums du groupe. L’album se poursuit toujours dans la même ambiance avec A Trinity Of None, I am I… A Cruse Of Death pour finir sur The Light Defeated.
Banished By Sin est un très bon album de Death Metal dans la même lignée que les albums précédents du groupe.

The album opens with From unknown heights you shall fall with a mid tempo and very good heady riffs which immerse us in a bath of Death metal with a sound atmosphere specific to them. Glenn Benton offers us a very good, very demonic growl as usual.
the ferocity of the riffs continues with Doomed to die and sever the tongue which are real bombardments of good riffs with Taylor Nordberg their new guitarist.
Faithless is a more thrashy song in my opinion, which triggers an avalanche of violence.
Bury the cross..with your Christ is a very muscular title with a rather confusing clip, where Benton cuts Christians’ tongues and which throws us an anthology of good death riffs until the following track Woke from God offers us a signature sound specific to the band what it does best. Ritual Defied or the following titles Failures of your dying Lord are very good titles which do not tire us with their sonic power. Then comes the eponymous title Banished by sin which offers us a progressive ferocity, which is a rebirth of the band’s first albums. The album continues in the same atmosphere with A trinity of none, I am I… A Cruse of death to end with The light defeated.
Banished By Sin is a very good Death Metal album, in the same vein as the band’s previous albums.
