[ENGLISH VERSION BELOW] La constance.

Tracklist :
[ENGLISH VERSION] Consistency. That is the word that best describes the Danish band’s entire discography. No deviations. A straight line all the way. Albums of remarkable quality and solidity.
But which, unfortunately, have never quite managed to rise to the ranks of the very greatest. A great pity.
Yet Peter Lyse Hansen, guitarist and sole remaining member of the original line-up, has never given up. Still the main songwriter, he forges ahead. Determined. To let his death-tinged thrash roar.
Will the arrival of a new singer a few years ago change the game? Perhaps this new album offers the beginnings of an answer.
Right from the intro, we’re put at ease. The production by Tue Madsen and his Antfarm Studio is as sharp and punchy as ever. Just like home, as it’s been for years.
As for the rest, there’s no time to rest. Groovy tracks, blistering thrash numbers that’ll make your neck snap. And mid-tempo tracks that won’t leave you unmoved.
And what about the vocals? We were already impressed by the newcomer during their gig at the Lions Metal Fest in 2003. The young man can’t keep still. It does the job.
He brings that little touch of modernity, whilst maintaining the same tone as his predecessors.
Snake Charmer is the perfect example. The album’s ‘Hatespherian’ track is both fast and effective.
If we look at the album as a whole, it’s a solid block of reinforced concrete. There isn’t really one track that stands out above the others, but rather a cohesion that makes sense. That said, ‘Human Scum’ does stand out a bit. What a proper thrashing – crisp and precise. There’s no doubt this track will get the crowds moving at upcoming gigs.
In short, the fact that the band’s frontman has been part of Dark Tranquillity for the past three years might have altered their approach to songwriting. Not at all. The music hasn’t changed one iota. And that’s exactly what we expect from the band.
Will this be the album that brings them into the limelight? We hope so with all our hearts. A fine vintage from 2026.
