Le groupe de rock anglais Inglorious est de retour avec un nouvel album très attendu intitulé V. Il sera disponible à partir du 6 juin 2025 par le label Frontiers Music SRL.
Il marque non seulement le retour du groupe mais aussi de leur frontman Nathan James ainsi que de leur bassiste original Colin Parkinson. Le groupe avait annoncé un hiatus en 2022.
Un début d’album prometteur et qui met du baume au cœur avec Testify qui va nous rappeler toutes les choses que l’on aime du groupe : Un Hard Rock / Heavy Rock entrainant toujours porté par la voix emblématique de Nathan James, avec un refrain facilement chantable par le public.
Avec une touche plus Heavy, Eat You Alive va confirmer le génie simple du groupe. Un peu plus rapide et lourd, Devil Inside va faire prendre une tournure drastique mais logique sur cet opus. On continue dans la logique avec Say What You Wanna Say qui reste d’hors et déjà dans ma tête et m’a fait headbanger à de nombreuses occasions, le même effet est également bien présent pour Stand qui se démarque légèrement pour sa guitare très éraillée du début jusqu’à la fin.
Que serait un album aux influences de Hard Rock sans sa mythique ballade et c’est Believe qui enfile le costume de la mélancolie, mais toujours avec douceur et subtilité. Le groupe a vraiment l’art et la manière de créer des ballades iconiques. Un nouvel essai un peu plus électrique pour Silent et un bon mélange des deux avec Power Of Truth qui viennent compléter le cycle des ballades.
Une vraie prise de risque ou nouveauté pour In Your Eyes, qui reste plus lente et posée mais la prouesse se joue sur la ligne de basse qui est absolument magistrale. Un bon Hard Rock classique qui sent bon le Jack Daniel’s et qui fait taper du pied avec End Of The Road, simple et efficace.
Inglorious a réussi son retour avec brio en proposant un album rempli de nouveauté mais aussi de leur mythique signature musicale. Un bonheur de retrouver le groupe au top de sa forme et pouvoir à nouveau headbanger sur de nouveaux morceaux. Hâte de les voir en concert dès que l’occasion se présentera.

English rock band Inglorious is back with a highly anticipated new album titled V. It will be available from June 6, 2025, on the Frontiers Music SRL label.
It marks not only the return of the band but also of their frontman Nathan James and original bassist Colin Parkinson. The band had announced a hiatus in 2022.
The album gets off to a promising and heartwarming start with Testify, which reminds us of everything we love about the band: catchy hard rock/heavy rock carried by Nathan James’ iconic voice, with a chorus that is easy for the audience to sing along to.
With a heavier touch, Eat You Alive confirms the band’s simple genius. A little faster and heavier, Devil Inside takes a drastic but logical turn on this album. We continue in the same vein with Say What You Wanna Say, which is already stuck in my head and has made me headbang on numerous occasions. The same effect is also present in Stand, which stands out slightly for its very scratchy guitar from start to finish.
What would an album influenced by hard rock be without its legendary ballad? Believe takes on the mantle of melancholy, but always with gentleness and subtlety. The band truly has a knack for creating iconic ballads. Silent is a new, slightly more electric attempt, and Power Of Truth is a good mix of the two, completing the cycle of ballads.
In Your Eyes is a real risk-taking or novelty track, which remains slower and more subdued, but the prowess lies in the bass line, which is absolutely masterful. End Of The Road is a good classic hard rock track that smells like Jack Daniel’s and makes you tap your feet, simple and effective.
Inglorious has made a brilliant comeback with an album full of new ideas but also their legendary musical signature. It’s a joy to see the band back in top form and to be able to headbang to new songs again. Can’t wait to see them in concert as soon as the opportunity arises.
