On se retrouve ce soir en Allemagne pour une soirée horrifique digne d’un film d’horreur avec une line up prometteuse, From Fall To Spring, Ghostkid et Ice Nine Kills pour leur Meat & Greet Tour. Le groupe de heavy metal américain nous offrent plusieurs dates en headline pendant leur tournée aux cotés de Five Singer Death Punch, ce qui n’est pas de refus, quand on connait la qualité de leurs prestations sur scène.
Cette soirée commence avec un jeune groupe allemand en ouverture, From Fall To Spring.
From Fall To Spring
Groupe inconnu pour ma part, je fus tout de même assez surpris par la qualité de leur show et par l’enthousiasme du public pour cette première partie qui reçoit un magnifique accueil de la part du public allemand. Enchainant leurs son aux allures de linkin Park ou tout autres groupes de metal moderne/ alternatif, les deux chanteurs font bouger la foule bien comme il faut, réveillant la salle pendant leur show de 40min. Leurs sons comme Control ou Draw The Line furent de belles découverte, on attend de voir ce que devient ce groupe dans les années à venir.
Après quelques minutes d’attentes, c’est au tour d’un groupe très apprécié de venir combler l’attente de Ice Nine Kills avec leur ambiance très sombre, il s’agit évidemment de Ghostkid.
Ghostkid
Le groupe allemand armé de son style très gothique sait faire! Ils n’en sont pas à leur première scène, et ça se voit! Dès le deuxième morceau, l’un des guitariste et le bassiste se jetant au milieu de la foule pour jouer au milieu d’un Circle pit, très appréciable à regarder. Mettant en avant la sortie de leur dernier album mais également des sous plus connus, le groupe propose une prestation merveilleuse et maitrisé, tout aussi bonne que celle que j’avais dans mes souvenirs lors de leur première partie de Bad Omens l’année dernière. Jouant Heavy Rain, Hollywood Suicide ou encore Supernova, Ghostkid remplit le coeur des fans qui risquent d’être impatients de voir leur tournée en headline en automne !
Après cette merveilleuse prestation, c’est enfin au tour des tant attendus artistes d’Ice Nine Kills de prendre place sur scène.
Ice Nine Kills
En arrivant sur Hip To Be Scared, La bande prend place sur scène vêtue de ses costumes donnant un ton très classe aux scènes macabre qui s’apprêtent à arriver. En effet, quelques minutes après seulement, Spencer (le chanteur) s’équipe d’une blouse et d’une hache et joue comme une scène de cinéma en attaquant un comédien sur scène à coups de hache. L’ensemble du show est accompagné de mini séquences de cinéma avec des comédiens sur scène, ambiance bien propre à Ice Nine Kills qui rend leur show si particuliers et si plaisant à voir. À travers une bonne heure et demi de show, Ice Nine Kills nous propose de revivre en travers une grosse partie de leur discographie avec des grands classiques comme Raina day, The Shower Scène, A Grave Mistake et j’en passe, mais également leur nouveau morceau Meat & Greet qui est, pour moi, une réussite.
Le concert ce cloture sur un rappel avec Welcome to Horrorwood pour mettre fin à ce grand film plein d’émotion que nous propose Ice Nine Kills en cette douce soirée de fête de la musique, quoi de mieux après tout.
Ce fut une première pour moi, et je comprends l’engouement autour des shows de cette bande. On espère les revoir très vite chez nous !

We meet again tonight in Germany for a horrific evening worthy of a horror movie with a promising line up, From Fall To Spring, Ghostkid and Ice Nine Kills for their Meat & Greet Tour. The American heavy metal band offer us several headline dates during their tour alongside Five Singer Death Punch, which is not denied, when we know the quality of their performances on stage.
This evening begins with a young German band opening, From Fall To Spring.
From Fall To Spring
Unknown group for my part, I was still quite surprised by the quality of their show and the enthusiasm of the public for this first part which receives a magnificent welcome from the German public. Chaining their sounds like linkin Park or any other modern/ alternative metal bands, the two singers make the crowd move properly, waking the room during their 40min show. Their sounds like Control or Draw The Line were beautiful discoveries, we are waiting to see what this band becomes in the coming years.
After a few minutes of waiting, it is the turn of a very appreciated group to come to fill the wait of Ice Nine Kills with their very dark atmosphere, it is obviously Ghostkid.
Ghostkid
The German group armed with its very gothic style knows how to do! They are not at their first scene, and it shows! From the second track, one of the guitarists and the bass player throwing himself in the middle of the crowd to play in the middle of a Circle pit, very nice to watch. Highlighting the release of their latest album but also more famous sub, the band offers a wonderful and mastered performance, just as good as the one I had in my memories during their first part of Bad Omens last year. Playing Heavy Rain, Hollywood Suicide or Supernova, Ghostkid fills the hearts of fans who may be impatient to see their headline tour in autumn!
After this wonderful performance, it is finally the turn of the long-awaited artists of Ice Nine Kills to take place on stage.
Ice Nine Kills
Arriving on Hip To Be Scared, the band takes place on stage dressed in its costumes giving a very classy tone to the macabre scenes that are about to arrive. Indeed, only a few minutes later, Spencer (the singer) gets a blouse and an axe and plays like a movie scene by attacking an actor on stage with an axe. The whole show is accompanied by mini cinema sequences with actors on stage, atmosphere very specific to Ice Nine Kills which makes their show so special and so pleasant to see. Through an hour and a half of show, Ice Nine Kills offers us to relive through a large part of their discography with great classics like Raina day, The Shower Scene, A Grave Mistake and so on, but also their new song Meat & Greet which is, for me, a success.
The concert ends on a reminder with Welcome to Horrorwood to end this great film full of emotion that Ice Nine Kills offers us on this sweet evening of music celebration, what better after all.
It was a first for me, and I understand the craze around the shows of this band. We hope to see them again very soon at home!
