[ENGLISH VERSION BELOW] Le groupe indien de Death-Metal, Demonic Resurrection fête cette année ses 25 ans de carrière et ils célébreront cet anniversaire avec un nouvel EP de trois titres, Apocalyptic Dawn qui sera disponible ce vendredi 6 février.
Le premier titre Great Famine débute avec une intro au piano presque délicate mais le calme est de courte durée et c’est très rapidement que le chaos s’installe! On retrouve une batterie rapide, des riffs puissants qui apporte un côté plus mélodique à l’ensemble et surtout une voix très typée Death Metal. Le morceau est intéressant et permet à ceux qui ne connaissent pas Demonic Resurrection de mettre un pied dans leur univers. On continue donc avec Of Blindness And Divinity qui fait monter l’agressivité du groupe d’un cran, un morceau rapide avec son côté presque galopant le tout soutenu par la voix du frontman Demonstealer qui est vraiment excellente et pas que dans le registre Death mais on retrouve aussi un peu de chant clair ici mais aussi des touches de clavier de Anabelle Iratni (Veille/Ex Cradle Of Filth) qui lui confère son originalité. Un titre qui prendra toute sa dimension en live. Le morceau final n’est autre que Apocalyptic Dawn version 2025! La version originale est sortie en 2026 sur le premier album du groupe (A Darkness Descends) et pour les 25 ans, ils ont décidé de la réenregistrer en délivrant un travail excellent autant au niveau des claviers, du chant (où on retrouve une nouvelle fois Anabelle qui apporte une nouvelle dimension à l’ensemble) et où Demonstealer excelle mais aussi au niveau des guitares qui sont grandioses ici, une très belle façon de faire découvrir leurs anciens travaux!
Apocalyptic Dawn célèbre un anniversaire important et même si on a découvert Demonic Resurrection sur le tard (Remercions Bloodywood), il nous tarde d’en découvrir bien plus pour la suite de leur carrière et on se penchera avec plaisir sur leurs précédents opus. Une très bonne découverte qu’on ne saurait que trop recommander aux amateurs de Metal Extrême!

[ENGLISH VERSION] Indian death metal band Demonic Resurrection is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year with a new three-track EP, Apocalyptic Dawn, which will be available on Friday, February 6.
The first track, Great Famine, begins with an almost delicate piano intro, but the calm is short-lived and chaos quickly ensues! There are fast drums, powerful riffs that bring a more melodic side to the whole thing, and above all, a very distinctive death metal voice. The track is interesting and allows those who are unfamiliar with Demonic Resurrection to get a taste of their world. We continue with Of Blindness And Divinity, which takes the band’s aggression up a notch. a fast track with an almost galloping feel, supported by the truly excellent vocals of frontman Demonstealer, not only in the death register but also with some clean vocals here and there, as well as touches of keyboard by Anabelle Iratni (Veille/Ex Cradle Of Filth), which give it its originality. This is a track that will really come into its own live. The final track is none other than Apocalyptic Dawn version 2025! The original version was released in 2026 on the band’s first album (A Darkness Descends) and for their 25th anniversary, they decided to re-record it, delivering excellent work on the keyboards, vocals (where we once again find Anabelle bringing a new dimension to the whole) and where Demonstealer excels, but also on the guitars, which are grandiose here, a very nice way to showcase their older work!
Apocalyptic Dawn is celebrating an important anniversary, and even though we discovered Demonic Resurrection late in the game (thanks to Bloodywood), we can’t wait to discover more of their work in the future and will happily delve into their previous albums. A great discovery that we highly recommend to fans of extreme metal!
