Le ton de l’album est donné avec Bulletproof, c’est vif, explosif, fédérateur avec un enchainement plutôt fluide pour faire place à Fall Into Pieces qui continue sur la même longueur d’onde avec un rythme un peu moins explosif mais plus expressif surtout au niveau du break. En parlant d’explosivité, Panic Stations vient clairement montrer ce qu’elle est capable de faire en étant un mélange subtil des deux premiers titres.
Le virage musical se fait instantanément avec Unbreakable et son tempo plus ralenti et moins explosif, mais le message est clair, celui de (re)donner confiance en soi avec puissance et vulnérabilité, ce qui mène à un combat silencieux contre soi même, ce qui est parfaitement illustré dans Silent War. Changement d’ambiance radical avec Good Guy et son esprit entre Pop – Punk et Rock alternatif, pour parler d’un sujet assez important : l’indépendance affective féminine.
Encore un cri du cœur avec Hungry For Life, et son envie de vivre pleinement qui transpire dans le chant et la mélodie avec une énorme feel good vibe et Big Bubble Bullshit va suivre le même chemin mais avec plus d’explosivité. Blink Of An Eye va encore une fois changer le rythme pour apporter une touche de sérieux dans ce flot de légèreté. Et la conclusion est juste parfaite Karma Is A Bitch avec le message le plus important de tout l’album : Vis comme tu veux car le karma rattrape les gens.
L’avantage d’April Art est le fait que les chansons sont courtes et efficaces, il n’y a pas de riffs interminable et va à l’essentiel. Il y a une vraie montée de niveau entre leur deux albums et les messages évoluent dans le bon sens. Avec Red, April Art assoit sa créativité et son engagement de manière subtile et affirmée.

The album sets the tone with Bulletproof—it’s lively, explosive, and unifying, with a fairly smooth transition into Fall Into Pieces, which continues in the same vein with a slightly less explosive but more expressive rhythm, especially during the break. Speaking of explosiveness, Panic Stations clearly showcases what she’s capable of, serving as a subtle blend of the first two tracks.
The musical shift happens instantly with Unbreakable and its slower, less explosive tempo, but the message is clear: to (re)build self-confidence through strength and vulnerability, leading to a silent battle against oneself—a theme perfectly illustrated in Silent War. There’s a radical shift in mood with Good Guy and its blend of pop-punk and alternative rock, addressing a rather important topic: women’s emotional independence.
Another heartfelt cry comes with Hungry For Life, whose desire to live life to the fullest shines through in the vocals and melody with a huge feel-good vibe, and Big Bubble Bullshit follows the same path but with even more intensity. Blink Of An Eye shifts the pace once again, bringing a touch of seriousness to this stream of lightheartedness. And the conclusion is simply perfect: Karma Is A Bitch, with the most important message of the entire album—“Live as you please, because karma catches up with people.”
The strength of April Art lies in the fact that the songs are short and to the point—there are no endless riffs, and they get straight to the heart of the matter. There’s a real leap in quality between their two albums, and the messages are evolving in the right direction. With Red, April Art solidifies its creativity and commitment in a subtle yet assertive way.
