Le groupe australien de Hard rock Airbourne nous présente leur nouvel album intitulé Airbourne, disponible le 28 août 2026 par le label Spinefarm Records.
Une montée en puissance crescendo pour Gusty, avec toujours un refrain entêtant et des riffs iconiques, et la recette ne semble pas changer pour Alive After Death (Last Plane Out), une rythmique simple et un refrain fédérateur compose ce morceau, qui va aussi se retrouver dans Rock’ N’ Roll Ya ainsi que dans Hells Got No Vacancy ou encore dans Send Me To Rock’ N’ Roll Heaven qui viendra clôturer l’album. Pour Here She Comes on change légèrement de tonalité en adoptant des notes plus basses et un tempo plus lent et saccadé, tout Sky High ce qui va durer pendant toute la chanson, tandis que Kid In A Candy Store va jouer sur la distorsion des guitares et un long breakdown pour garder l’auditeur en haleine, contrairement à Who Put The Rhythm In You ? qui va avoir une rythmique constante et des riffs incontrôlables. La surprise de cet opus est que malgré qu’il sorte fin août, il y a une chanson de Noël avec Christmas Bonus et toutes les sonorités du genre y sont. Une petite impression de déjà vu avec Last Man Standing dont l’introduction est la même que l’un de leur titre phare Live It Up mais en plus rapide et aigu. Un léger changement pour Bogotá, qui va mettre l’accent sur des riffs de guitares plus graves et moins distordus.
Airbourne ne prends aucun risque avec cet album. Pour ceux qui veulent écouter du Hard Rock bien exécuté mais sans surprise cet opus sera alors à votre gout. Au delà du fait que la rythmique et la construction soit répétitives, cela reste un bon album qui restera efficace que ça soit en live ou en écoute classique.

The Australian hard rock band Airbourne presents their new album, titled Airbourne, available August 28, 2026, on Spinefarm Records.
Gusty builds to a powerful crescendo, featuring the band’s signature catchy chorus and iconic riffs, and the formula remains unchanged for Alive After Death (Last Plane Out), a track built on a simple rhythm section and a unifying chorus—a formula also found in Rock’ N’ Roll Ya, Hell’s Got No Vacancy, and Send Me to Rock’ N’ Roll Heaven, which closes out the album. For Here She Comes, the tone shifts slightly, adopting lower notes and a slower, choppy tempo—very Sky High—which persists throughout the song. Meanwhile, Kid In A Candy Storeplays with guitar distortion and a long breakdown to keep the listener on the edge of their seat, unlike Who Put The Rhythm In You?, which features a steady rhythm section and uncontrollable riffs. The surprise of this album is that, even though it’s being released in late August, it includes a Christmas song titled Christmas Bonus, complete with all the classic sounds of the genre. There’s a slight sense of déjà vu with Last Man Standing, whose intro is identical to that of one of their hit songs, Live It Up, but faster and higher-pitched. Bogotá marks a slight shift, emphasizing lower-pitched, less distorted guitar riffs.
Airbourne takes no risks with this album. For those who want to listen to well-executed hard rock without any surprises, this album will be right up your alley. Despite the repetitive rhythm section and song structure, it remains a solid album that will hold up well whether heard live or on a regular listen.
