Les américains de Sevendust nous présente leur nouvel album intitulé One, disponible le 1er mai 2026 par le label Napalm Records.
Dès le début le ton est donné, ça va être lourd et puissant. L’ouverture avec One nous vends le titre comme un banger, avec ses couplets entrainants et ses refrains que l’on pourrait chanter à tue tête avec aisance, cela nous permet d’avoir une bonne mise en bouche de ce qui va arriver par la suite. Et la suite la voici avec Unbreakable, un Rock alternatif à la fois doux et intense, qui enivrera n’importe quelle personne et procure une vraie sensation de confiance. Cette fois ci ça tape un peu plus fort dans la rythmique des couplets avec un superbe prélude du refrain rempli de chuchotements presque glaçant, Is This The Real You se place comme un incontournable de l’opus.
Un autre aspect de la musique et des émotions se présente ici avec Threshold. Ce seuil montre à quel point le groupe est prêt à tout porter avec facilité. Quand vont-ils s’arrêter ? Pas tout de suite car We Won montre que tout n’est pas dans la puissance mais également dans la justesse. Cela fait-il partie d’une deuxième phase ? Probablement avec Construct qui suit le cheminement des deux précédentes chansons. Cette interlude plus douce se termine avec Bright Side.
Troisième partie de cet album qui commence avec The Drop, en reprenant un peu plus les codes du Rock Moderne et qui pourrait très facilement se retrouver comme thème principal de WWE, mais cet effet sera de courte durée avec Blood Price et Misdirection qui ont chacunes leur identité mais qui viennent casser le dynamisme de l’album.
Sevendust nous propose un nouvel album en trois partie. La première très Metal Moderne avec beaucoup d’influence qui plaira aux fans de Metal, la deuxième plus accès Rock Alternatif, moins dur dans le rythme et plus accessible à tous, et la troisième est un peu plus fourre-tout pour tous ceux qui ne sont pas difficile.

The American band Sevendust presents their new album titled One, available on May 1, 2026, via Napalm Records.
Right from the start, the tone is set: this is going to be heavy and powerful. The opening track, One sets the stage as a banger, with its catchy verses and choruses that you can easily sing along to at the top of your lungs, giving us a great taste of what’s to come. And here comes the next track, Unbreakable an alternative rock song that’s both gentle and intense, sure to captivate anyone and instill a real sense of confidence. This time, the rhythm of the verses hits a bit harder, with a superb prelude to the chorus filled with almost chilling whispers; Is This The Real You stands out as a must-listen on the album.
Another facet of the music and emotions emerges here with Threshold. This track demonstrates just how effortlessly the band can handle anything. When will they stop? Not just yet, because We Won shows that it’s not all about power but also about precision. Is this part of a second phase? Probably, with Construct following the path of the two previous songs. This softer interlude concludes with Bright Side.
The third part of this album begins with The Drop,” leaning a bit more into modern rock conventions and easily serving as a WWE theme song, but this effect is short-lived with Blood Price and Misdirection which each have their own identity but disrupt the album’s momentum.
Sevendust presents a new three-part album. The first part is very modern metal with plenty of influences that will appeal to metal fans; the second leans more toward alternative rock, with a less intense rhythm and broader appeal; and the third is a bit of a catch-all for those who aren’t too picky.
