Ce jeudi 13 novembre, l’Élysée Montmartre vibrera d’une énergie singulière : non seulement pour un concert, mais pour un adieu. Stray From The Path, groupe punk-hardcore emblématique, joue sa dernière date parisienne dans le cadre de sa tournée d’adieu, accompagnés d’Alpha Wolf, Graphic Nature et Calva Louise.
CALVA LOUISE
Il est 18h30 lorsque Calva Louise prend possession de la scène de l’Élysée Montmartre. Le trio franco–néo-zélandais affiche une identité cosmopolite assumée : Jess, chanteuse-guitariste-pianiste franco-vénézuélienne, Alizon, bassiste français, et Ben, batteur néo-zélandais.
Le groupe déploie un style résolument hybride, nourri d’influences latines, folk, metal et hip-hop. Une collision de genres parfois déroutante, mais qui séduit rapidement un public déjà nombreux pour cette heure précoce. Sur scène, la voix puissante et claire de Jess agit comme un fil conducteur qui unifie cette diversité musicale.
Sept titres, issus de leurs deux derniers opus, s’enchaînent, oscillant entre anglais et espagnol, confirmant la singularité d’un groupe à l’identité forte et pleinement affirmée.
Puis survient un moment suspendu.
Ce 13 novembre 2025 marque les dix ans des attentats qui ont endeuillé Paris, la Seine-Saint-Denis et le Bataclan. Jess prend la parole avec une sincérité touchante, remercie la foule d’être venue si tôt, et rend un hommage sobre et vibrant aux victimes. La salle, d’ordinaire bouillonnante, se fige dans un silence presque recueilli.
Lorsque le public applaudit, c’est avec chaleur, respect et une émotion palpable.
Le set se conclut sur “Oportunista”, porté par un break synthétique massif qui enveloppe la salle dans une tension électrique parfaitement maîtrisée.
Seul regret : un concert bien trop court, tant la proximité et l’intensité du groupe captivent.
Une certitude demeure : on les reverra, et cette fois, on espère que ce sera en tête d’affiche.
GRAPHIC NATURE
La soirée prends un autre tournant avec la montée sur scène de Graphic Nature, groupe qui nous vient tout droit d’Angleterre. Nous rentrons vraiment dans le style de la soirée a savoir le hardcore.
Le show est plus sombre et bien moins poétique de Calva Louise. Les guitares sont plus agressives, la rythmique est puissante. On retrouve également des silhouettes vetues de tenue de sport et sweet a capuche noir. Ce qui contraste avec la tenue style poupée romantique de la chanteuse de Calva Louise.
Le frontman Harvey Freeman, n’hésite pas a aller chercher le public pour créer des circles pits et ainsi créer un lien sincère avec la foule.
Nous sommes quasiment au milieu du set lorsque le titre « Sour » retentit. Ce titre, issu de l’album A Mind waiting to die, mets tout le monde d’accord, c’est un des moments forts du set.
Graphic Nature ne cherche pas la séduction, ni la démonstration technique.
Leur set est un bloc : dense et abrupt.
Le groupe termine en beauté avec le titre « Fractured » avant d’inviter l’assemblée a les rejoindre pour discuter au niveau du merchandising.
ALPHA WOLF
Leur venue en France était visiblement très attendue au vu de l’accueil qui leur ai réservé par les fans. Le public est prêt à en découdre lorsqu’Alpha Wolf monte sur scène. La formation Australienne, bien connue de la scène Hardcore à déjà une réputation qui n’est plus à faire. C’est lourd, c’est gras, le public aime et honore la musique ! Le pit s’écarte en deux murs humains, juste pour mieux s’écraser l’un contre l’autre dès que la musique relancera la mêlée.
Les titres s’enchainent ne laissant aucun répit au public. Le set est réflechi pour bien alterner entre les différents albums. Ultra-Violet Violence, Creep, Pretty Boy, Feign, Acid Romance, Sub-Zero, Haunter, Mangekyō.
Le groupe terminera par le titre Akudama issu de leur album A Quiet place to die sorti il y a 5 ans déjà. Le public est fou presque enragé.
Le groupe va faire à coup sur parler de lui dans les prochaines années. Ils cherchent sans cesse a faire évoluer leur musique notamment avec leur dernier album sorti en 2024 intitulé Half Living Things.
STRAY FROM THE PATH
Lorsque les lumières se coupent totalement, il y a ce petit moment suspendu, ce silence étrange qui précède les grandes tempêtes. Puis la première note tombe — et l’Élysée Montmartre
C’est un sous un tonnerre de cris et d’applaudissements que les New Yorkais de Stray From the Path arrive pour nous faire un dernier au revoir. Et ca commence fort avec Kubrick Stare issu de leur dernier et ultime album intitulé Clockwork qu’ils sont venus présenter ce soir !
C’est cet album qui sera mis a l’honneur au cours de cette soirée mémorable avec pas moins de 6 titres joués. Toutefois, ils ne vont pas oublier de retracer l’ensemble de leur carrière depuis 2015.
Le groupe débarque avec l’énergie d’un bulldozer lancé pleine vitesse. Les guitares saccadées, le groove punk-hardcore, la diction tranchante comme un couteau : tout rappelle pourquoi Stray From The Path est une machine live incomparable.
Shot Caller, Fuck Them All to Hell, Goodnight Alt Right, Chest Candy, May You Live Forever… La salle transpire sous le rythme effréné des titres qui s’enchainent à une vitesse folle. Cette setlist condense le meilleur du groupe. C’est une setlist best of.
Le groupe marque les esprits sur scène. Fort de leur charisme, ils dirigent la soirée d’une main de maitre. Un Wall of death est demandé ? La foule exécute ! Un circle pit ? Idem ! Les invitations a slammer ne manque pas d’animer la soirée. Nombreux sont les fans qui arrivent sur scène par vague avant de repartir en se jettant dans la fosse (avec quelques loupés). Ce sont les boss ! C’est un show sans faut ce soir. Pas de fausses notes, tout est bien éxécuté et calibré.
Entre deux titres, le frontman Drew York, se permet quelques mots. Pas de grands discours. Seulement, un rappel sincère sur ce que représentent la scène hardcore, la solidarité, la communauté. Pas de pathos inutile : juste une gratitude profonde, un au revoir qui ne veut pas vraiment dire adieu.
Le groupe ne fait pas de rappel et préfère enchainer les grands succès comme Clockworked en feat avec Landmvrks en studio. Ce morceau fonctionne parfaitement bien en live. Dommage que Flo de Landmvrks n’ai pas pu faire un saut par l’Elysées Montmartre. Fortune teller raisonne et acte la fin officiel de Stray From the Path dans les salles francaises.
Ce concert de Stray From The Path n’était pas seulement un show réussi : c’était une célébration. Une célébration d’une scène, d’une communauté, d’une manière d’être au monde.
Une soirée où Paris s’est rappelé que la musique hardcore, au-delà du bruit et de la sueur, est un espace où l’on se retrouve, où l’on exorcise, où l’on respire.

This Thursday, 13 November, the Élysée Montmartre will be buzzing with a unique energy: not just for a concert, but for a farewell. Stray From The Path, the iconic punk-hardcore band, will play their last Paris date as part of their farewell tour, accompanied by Alpha Wolf, Graphic Nature and Calva Louise.
CALVA LOUISE
It is 6:30 p.m. when Calva Louise takes the stage at the Élysée Montmartre. The French-New Zealand trio has a distinctly cosmopolitan identity: Jess, a French-Venezuelan singer-guitarist-pianist, Alizon, a French bassist, and Ben, a New Zealand drummer.
The band has a decidedly hybrid style, drawing on Latin, folk, metal and hip-hop influences. It’s a sometimes bewildering collision of genres, but one that quickly wins over the already large audience for such an early hour. On stage, Jess‘s powerful, clear voice acts as a common thread that unifies this musical diversity.
Seven tracks from their last two albums follow one after the other, alternating between English and Spanish, confirming the uniqueness of a band with a strong and fully assertive identity.
Then comes a moment of suspense.
This 13th of November 2025 marks the tenth anniversary of the attacks that plunged Paris, Seine-Saint-Denis and the Bataclan into mourning. Jess speaks with touching sincerity, thanking the crowd for coming so early and paying a sober and moving tribute to the victims. The usually boisterous venue falls silent, almost reverent.
The set concludes with ‘Oportunista’, carried by a massive synthetic break that envelops the room in perfectly controlled electric tension.
The only regret: a concert that is far too short, as the band’s proximity and intensity are captivating.
One thing is certain: we will see them again, and this time, we hope it will be as headliners.
GRAPHIC NATURE
The evening takes another turn with the arrival on stage of Graphic Nature, a band straight from England. We really get into the style of the evening, namely hardcore.
The show is darker and much less poetic than Calva Louise‘s. The guitars are more aggressive, the rhythm is powerful. We also see silhouettes dressed in sportswear and black hoodies. This contrasts with the romantic doll-like outfit of the singer from Calva Louise.
Frontman Harvey Freeman doesn’t hesitate to engage with the audience, creating circle pits and forming a genuine connection with the crowd.
We are almost halfway through the set when the song ‘Sour’ starts playing. This track, from the album A Mind Waiting to Die, gets everyone on the same page; it’s one of the highlights of the set.
Graphic Nature isn’t looking to seduce or show off their technical skills.
Their set is a dense and abrupt block.
The band ends on a high note with the track ‘Fractured’ before inviting the audience to join them to chat about merchandising.
ALPHA WOLF
Their arrival in France was clearly eagerly awaited, judging by the reception they received from fans. The audience is ready to rock when Alpha Wolf takes to the stage. The Australian band, well known on the hardcore scene, already has a reputation that is second to none. It’s heavy, it’s bold, the audience loves and honours the music ! The pit splits into two human walls, only to crash into each other again as soon as the music reignites the melee.
The songs follow one after another, leaving the audience no respite. The set is carefully thought out to alternate between the different albums: Ultra-Violet Violence, Creep, Pretty Boy, Feign, Acid Romance, Sub-Zero, Haunter, Mangekyō.
The band ends with Akudama from their album A Quiet Place to Die, released five years ago. The audience is wild, almost frenzied.
The band is sure to be talked about in the years to come. They are constantly seeking to evolve their music, notably with their latest album released in 2024 entitled Half Living Things.
STRAY FROM THE PATH
When the lights go out completely, there is that brief moment of suspense, that strange silence that precedes a great storm. Then the first note rings out — and the Élysée Montmartre.
It is to a thunderous roar of cheers and applause that New Yorkers Stray From the Path arrive to bid us a final farewell. And they start off strong with Kubrick Stare from their latest and final album, Clockwork, which they have come to present tonight !
This album will be honoured during this memorable evening with no less than six tracks played. However, they will not forget to retrace their entire career since 2015.
The band arrives with the energy of a bulldozer travelling at full speed. The jerky guitars, the punk-hardcore groove, the razor-sharp diction: everything reminds us why Stray From The Path is an incomparable live machine.
Shot Caller, Fuck Them All to Hell, Goodnight Alt Right, Chest Candy, May You Live Forever… The room sweats under the frenetic rhythm of the songs that follow one another at breakneck speed. This setlist condenses the best of the band. It’s a best-of setlist.
The band makes a lasting impression on stage. With their charisma, they masterfully lead the evening. A wall of death is requested? The crowd obeys! A circle pit? Same thing! Invitations to slam dance liven up the evening. Many fans arrive on stage in waves before jumping back into the pit (with a few misses). They are the bosses! It’s a flawless show tonight. No false notes, everything is well executed and calibrated.
Between songs, frontman Drew York says a few words. No big speeches, just a sincere reminder of what the hardcore scene, solidarity and community represent. No unnecessary pathos: just deep gratitude, a goodbye that doesn’t really mean farewell.
The band didn’t do an encore, preferring to string together big hits such as Clockworked, featuring Landmvrks in the studio. This track works perfectly well live. It’s a shame that Flo from Landmvrks couldn’t make it to the Elysées Montmartre. Fortune teller heralds and marks the official end of Stray From the Path in French venues.
This Stray From The Path concert was not just a successful show: it was a celebration. A celebration of a scene, a community, a way of being in the world.
An evening where Paris remembered that hardcore music, beyond the noise and sweat, is a space where we come together, where we exorcise, where we breathe.
