Pour leur première date parisienne le 26 novembre, les Australiens de Melrose Avenue ont su transformer la curiosité en véritable coup de foudre. Entre envolées émotionnelles, puissance maîtrisée et sincérité brute, le groupe a offert une performance intense qui a immédiatement conquis les amateurs de sonorités post-rock et alternatives. Une entrée remarquée sur la scène française, qui annonce de belles choses à venir.
Le Nouveau Casino affiche complet dès l’ouverture des portes, et l’impatience se lit sur chaque visage. La chaleur monte, les discussions s’entremêlent, et l’on sent que Paris s’apprête à vivre une soirée dense, portée par deux groupes qui montent en puissance. Comastatic, jeune groupe de rock alternatif zurichois signé chez Hopeless Records, a ouvert la soirée avec une énergie débordante, mêlant chaos et vulnérabilité. Le duo Jules Luongo et Mattia di Paolo a enchaîné titres puissants et moments plus doux, faisant chanter et réagir le public dès les premières minutes. Entre la présentation de leur nouveau single Swayed, une collaboration avec le groupe principal et des morceaux plus lourds comme Primitive, ils ont montré toute l’étendue de leur univers. Leur dernier titre, Self Sabotage, a clôturé un set intense qui a confirmé pourquoi ils attirent de plus en plus l’attention.
Quand Melrose Avenue monte enfin sur scène, l’atmosphère bascule immédiatement. Vlado Saric, frontman magnétique, accroche le public avec une aisance bluffante, tandis que Shawn Mayer fait hurler sa guitare sans retenue. The room gets hotter by the minute, conversations blend into each other, and you can feel Paris gearing up for a heavy night powered by two fast-rising bands. From the very first moments, the air is electric, the kind of charged atmosphere that promises a show you’ll stumble out of exhausted but absolutely thrilled.
Comastatic, a young alternative rock band from Zurich signed to Hopeless Records, kicked off the night with overflowing energy, mixing chaos and vulnerability. The duo, Jules Luongo and Mattia di Paolo, moved effortlessly between powerful tracks and softer moments, getting the crowd singing and reacting right away. With the debut of their new single Swayed, a collab with the headliner, and heavier songs like Primitive, they showed the full range of what they can do. They wrapped things up with Self Sabotage, an intense closer that proved exactly why they’re gaining so much attention.
When Melrose Avenue finally steps onstage, the whole atmosphere shifts instantly.
