Den Atelier nous propose une date de qualité avec The Halo Effect qui ouvre pour Machine Head. Un concert qui a été sold out très rapidement ! Un grand merci à la salle pour leur accueil et pour l’accréditation.
La salle est déjà bien pleine quand les lumières s’éteignent et que le groupe suédois The Halo Effect prend place sur scène. Le groupe va être acclamé par le public et c’est là dessus que va débuter This Curse of Silence. C’est un set assez court auquel nous allons assister (30 minutes) et le groupe va donner de sa personne tout du long. Après deux-trois titres d’échauffement, on voit les premiers mouvements dans le pit et l’atmosphère à prit quelques degrés en plus ! Je ne connaissais pas du tout le groupe et j’en ressors bien surprise et convaincue. L’ambiance était au rendez-vous, le public réceptif et reprenant les paroles avec le chanteur, de quoi mettre le public dans de bonnes conditions.
Pas d’introduction pour Machine Head. Le groupe arrive sur scène et Robb débute avec un petit discours. Il explique qu’ils sont en pleine tournée des festivals et que cette date sera spéciale. En effet, cette date reste plus intimiste et les fans peuvent être au plus proche du groupe. Le groupe nous comble avec l’introduction de Desire to Fire, qui a été joué pour la première fois en ouverture, avant d’enchaîner avec un titre du dernier album Unatøned (2025). Album qui sera très bien représenté ce soir avec pas moins de huit titres. Dont notamment NØT LØNG FØR THIS WØRLD, qui a été jouée pour la première fois en dehors des États-Unis. Le groupe est proche de son public et va notamment les faire choisir entre deux titres, suite à une égalité ils décident de jouer Blood for Blood. Robb va intervenir plusieurs fois, il semble content d’être présent et l’ensemble du groupe donne de sa personne, créant un vrai raz de marée musical. Une très bonne soirée en compagnie de groupes de qualité et une tête d’affiche qui en impose toujours autant !

Den Atelier offered us a quality performance with The Halo Effect opening for Machine Head. A concert that sold out very quickly! A big thank you to the venue for their welcome and for the accreditation.
The venue was already quite full when the lights went down and the Swedish band The Halo Effect took the stage. The band was cheered by the audience, and that’s when This Curse of Silence began. It was a fairly short set (30 minutes), and the band gave it their all throughout. After two or three warm-up songs, we saw the first moves in the pit, and the atmosphere increased a few degrees! I didn’t know the band at all, and I came away quite surprised and convinced. The atmosphere was there, the audience receptive and singing along with the singer, which put the audience in a good mood.
No introduction for Machine Head. The band arrives on stage and Robb begins with a short speech. He explains that they are in the middle of a festival tour and that this date will be special. Indeed, this date remains more intimate and fans can get closer to the band. The band delights us with the introduction of Desire to Fire, which was played for the first time as an opening act, before continuing with a song from their latest album, Unatøned (2025). This album will be very well represented tonight with no fewer than eight songs. This includes NØT LØNG FØR THIS WØRLD, which was played for the first time outside of the United States. The band is close to their audience and will notably have them choose between two songs; following a tie, they decide to play Blood for Blood. Robb will intervene several times; he seems happy to be there, and the entire band gives of their all, creating a real musical tidal wave. A very good evening in the company of quality bands and a headliner who always impresses!
