[ENGLISH VERSION BELOW] Après trois EP, le groupe de Pop-Punk originaire de Milton-Keynes, Autumn Fires s’apprête à sortir leur nouvel (toujours) EP, Bloom , ce 25 février via le label Marshall Records. En tant que lauréats du concours « The Deal » organisé par Kerrang! Radio, le groupe a remporté la chance d’ouvrir la scène Fresh Blood au Download Festival 2025, d’enregistrer un EP au Marshall Studio et de sortir le résultat final chez Marshall Records.
Le premier titre n’est autre que le single Fall For You, un morceau Pop-Punk classique catchy à souhait avec un refrain qui restera bien encré dans les mémoires construit un peu comme un hymne. La chanteuse Charlotte parle de cette chanson comme étant l’histoire d’une personne qui souhaite rester célibataire mais finit par rencontrer une personne extraordinaire sortie de nulle part. Le genre de morceau positif qui fait du bien à nos petits cœurs d’Emo. Le deuxième titre est aussi un single : Gone By June. Inspiré par State Champs (un des groupes préférés de la formation), il a tout les ingrédients d’un très bon titre qui fera bouger les foules en concert avec un refrain encore très contagieux ici. Le morceau évoque la fin d’une histoire d’amour avec une partie qui a promis mille choses à l’autre mais n’a rien tenu, une histoire qui a laissée vide la personne lésée mais elle pourra reprendre espoir avec ce genre de morceaux et se défouler aussi.
Closure continue sur sa belle lancée et c’est parfaitement le genre de morceaux qu’on aime, une énergie renouvelée, des couplets peut-être un peu plus « calmes » que les précédents mais toujours ce côté contagieux avec une jolie voix! On finit avec Running Away, on pouvait penser que Autumn Fires allait partir sur une balada pour conclure ce nouvel EP mais il n’en est rien, toujours du Pop-Punk bien catchy qu’on aimera reprendre en live et toujours cette impression d’avoir découvert un State Champs avec un chant féminin (mais vu que nous aussi on adore State Champs on ne boudera pas notre plaisir)!
Autumn Fires est une très belle découverte avec ce nouvel EP, pour tout les amateurs de bon Pop-Punk actuel! On espère que le groupe aura une aussi belle carrière que leur influence principale et on a hâte de découvrir plus de musiques du groupe prochainement!

[ENGLISH VERSION] After three EPs, Milton Keynes-based pop-punk band Autumn Fires are set to release their new (still) EP, Bloom, on 25 February via Marshall Records. As winners of Kerrang! Radio‘s ‘The Deal’ competition, the band won the chance to open the Fresh Blood stage at Download Festival 2025, record an EP at Marshall Studio, and release the final result on Marshall Records.
The first track is none other than the single Fall For You, a classic pop-punk song that is as catchy as can be, with a chorus that will stick in your mind, constructed a bit like an anthem. Singer Charlotte describes the song as the story of someone who wants to stay single but ends up meeting an extraordinary person who comes out of nowhere. It’s the kind of positive song that warms our little emo hearts. The second track is also a single: Gone By June. Inspired by State Champs (one of the band’s favourite bands), it has all the ingredients of a great song that will get crowds moving at concerts, with another highly infectious chorus. The song evokes the end of a love story with one person who promised a thousand things to the other but didn’t deliver on any of them, a story that left the wronged person feeling empty, but who can regain hope with songs like this and let off steam too.
Closure continues its momentum, and these are exactly the kind of tracks we love, with renewed energy and verses that are perhaps a little more ‘calm’ than the previous ones, but still with that infectious quality and beautiful vocals! We end with Running Away. You might think that Autumn Fires would end this new EP with a ballad, but that’s not the case. It’s still catchy pop-punk that we’d love to hear live, and it still feels like we’ve discovered a female-fronted version of State Champs (but since we love State Champs too, we’re not going to complain)!
Autumn Fires is a wonderful discovery with this new EP, for all fans of good contemporary pop-punk! We hope the band will have as successful a career as their main influence. We can’t wait to hear more music from the band soon!
