[ENGLISH VERSION BELOW] Ce mardi 21 octobre, Annisokay enflammait le Trabendo ! Après un passage en headline dans une Boule Noire sold-out fin 2023, le groupe est revenu l’an dernier pour 3 dates françaises en support de Within Temptation avec notamment un passage à l’Adidas Arena. Cette fois-ci, les voilà de nouveau de retour en tête d’affiche sur leur tournée Abyss Pt. II pour deux dates sold out à Paris et à Toulouse !
Après un passage à Paris en première partie des français de Revnoir en avril, les allemands de The Narrator sont donc de retour sur le sol français aux côtés d’Annisokay !
Alors que le groupe était censé débuter à 19h20, les premières notes résonnaient déjà dans la file d’attente avant l’heure, de même que le chanteur remerciant le public en français. On s’empresse de rejoindre la salle pour retrouver une fosse encore peu remplie, mais on voit immédiatement que des fans sont présents. On repère encore peu de mouvement dans la foule, mais un petit groupe au milieu de la fosse est bien décidé à headbang avec énergie. Après quelques morceaux, le chanteur réclame “some fucking chaos”, mais le public ne semble pas encore décidé à lancer un pit. Le chanteur demande alors au public de sortir leur flash de téléphone sur Unbind Me, là où la foule se montre déjà plus réceptive. Le morceau terminé, il explique qu’il s’agit d’un jour spécial puisque ce n’est autre que l’anniversaire de sa conjointe qui a fait le chemin depuis l’Allemagne pour assister au show. Sans difficulté, il fait alors chanter Happy birthday à l’ensemble de la salle. Alors que le Trabendo se remplit progressivement, les morceaux s’enchaînent. Le chanteur souligne ensuite, en tant qu’Allemand, le sentiment que l’histoire se répète et condamne fermement la montée des discours haineux. C’est sur le dernier morceau, Purgatory, que le public semble se réveiller. Alors qu’on y observe le premier crowdsurfing de la soirée, le groupe retente sa chance et réclame un circle pit. Cette fois-ci, des fans s’éxecutent et The Narrator profite de cette occasion pour finir en beauté en demandant un bon “old school” wall of death, tout en rappelant de bien faire attention à tout le monde. Le chanteur remercie le public et c’est alors qu’avant de quitter la scène, le guitariste et le batteur s’amusent à nous parler en français pour nous dire en plaisantant “Vous pouvez partir maintenant…” “… parce qu’Annisokay c’est vraiment nul”. Après cette petite blague, le groupe quitte finalement la scène.
A noter que The Narrator sera de retour en tête d’affiche le 16 octobre 2026 à la Maroquinerie !
Vient ensuite le tour des britanniques de Heart of a Coward. Les lumières s’éteignent sur une salle pas encore comble mais toutefois un peu plus remplie. Dès le premier morceau, le groupe réclame l’énergie du public en lui faisant lever les bras et en lui demandant de faire du bruit à plusieurs reprises. On sent une volonté de lancer un pit, mais on se contente pour l’instant d’observer à nouveau des headbangs bien mouvementés. Le chanteur continue alors de réclamer la participation du public qui se montre plutôt réceptif, puis arrive Deadweight. Après avoir demandé au public s’il passait un bon moment, il demande alors à la salle de retenir “cinq simples mots” qui ne sont autre que : “I don’t give a fuck”. On sent une montée en vigueur au sein du public sur le morceau avec un petit pogo qui commence à se créer, puis vient le moment de crier à pleins poumons les mots demandés sur la fin du morceau. Heart of a Coward explique alors que c’est son rôle de nous échauffer comme il faut pour Annisokay. Suite à ces belles paroles, le guitariste enchaîne les demandes de circle pit et de wall of death encouragé par le chanteur qui ajoute “Ecoutez cet homme!”. Après quelques morceaux bien agités, le chanteur lance un petit “Paris, you’re fucking beautiful!”. Le chanteur rappelle à nouveau leur mission de nous préparer pour Annisokay et redemande un circle pit. A l’approche du dernier morceau, il fait alors crier le public en soutien pour The Narrator et Annisokay, pour finalement annoncer Hollow. Tandis qu’une partie du public réagit au nom de la chanson, le chanteur demande à ceux qui la connaissent de chanter avec lui. Si l’on entendait peu la voix des fans, le groupe réussit tout de même à obtenir un dernier pogo et faire crier le public à l’unisson en levant le poing sur la fin du morceau.
Après quelques remerciements, le temps est venu pour Heart of a Coward de quitter la scène. Ce qui est sûr, c’est que la mission warm up a été un véritable succès !
Alors qu’on se prépare à l’arrivée du groupe star de la soirée, le staff installe quatre écrans verticaux sur la scène qui viendront servir la scénographie du groupe. Après un peu d’attente et un Trabendo désormais bien rempli, la pause se termine avec le passage de Shake It Off de Taylor Swift avant l’arrivée du groupe.
L’heure est venue pour Annisokay d’entrer sur scène avec leur intro Into the Abyss, portée par des visuels de fonds marins projetés sur les écrans. A peine a-t-on le temps d’entendre “Bonsoir Paris !” que le groupe passe sur Throne of the Sunset. L’ambiance est au rendez-vous et le public ne se fait pas prier pour directement lancer pogos et wall of death. S’enchaîne alors Never Enough. La foule s’exclame dès les premières notes. Tout le monde chante le refrain en cœur, également diffusé sur les écrans. L’énergie est, sans aucun doute, déjà à un très haut niveau et se maintient sur le morceau suivant : What’s Wrong. Rudi au scream remercie le public d’être présent et l’invite à sauter, chose qu’il n’aura pas à demander deux fois. Sur la fin du morceau, Christoph (voix claire et guitare) lance “Salut Paris, we are Annisokay !” et nous invite à passer un bon moment, ce qui s’annonce gagné d’avance ! Les lumières passent ensuite toutes au violet, annonçant sans surprise le morceau Ultraviolet. C’est à partir de la musique suivante, sur Like a Parasite que l’on observe le premier crowdsurf du set, puis arrive enfin le tour de leur dernier né : Splinters. Christoph explique qu’il s’agit de la première tournée sur laquelle ils jouent ce morceau qui est effectivement paru le 10 octobre, soit le jour du lancement de leur tournée européenne en cours ! Rudi décide de célébrer ça comme il se doit en s’offrant une session de crowdsurfing sur le public. Le morceau terminé, Christoph complimente le public et se risque même à le qualifier de plus bruyant que le public allemand ! Il explique alors qu’ils sont actuellement en tournée pour la promotion de leur nouvel album Abyss – The Final Chapter dont la sortie est prévue pour 21 novembre et dont la quasi totalité des morceaux a déjà été révélée. Le groupe ne manque donc pas l’opportunité de continuer sa lancée sur le nouvel album et enchaîne avec My Effigy, chanson sur laquelle il demandera un circle pit. On s’offre ensuite une courte pause dans le noir pour poursuivre la promo de l’album avec Human. Annisokay vérifie tout de même l’énergie de la foule avec un petit “Vous êtes encore en vie ?” auquel les fans répondent par de nombreux hurlements. Le groupe l’a bien compris et demande alors des headbangs suivis d’un wall of death. Quand vient le moment pour Good Stories de se terminer sous les applaudissements et les voix des fans, Christoph explique qu’ils n’en sont qu’à deux semaines du début de la tournée et qu’il leur reste encore un bon mois avant d’en voir le bout. Mais qu’à cela ne tienne, il affirme que Paris restera sans aucun doute l’un des grands moments de leur tournée et invite alors le public à faire du bruit pour The Narrator et Heart of a Coward. Après quoi, il évoque un morceau co-écrit avec un autre groupe allemand (Any Given Day) pour lequel il aura besoin de nos voix. Vous l’aurez compris, c’est l’heure de H.A.T.E. et les fans ont répondu avec brio à la requête du chanteur ! Une fois le morceau arrivé à terme, Christoph déclare qu’on a bien besoin de se reposer et nous invite à tous se baisser. Le groupe nous fait tous sauter sur Friend or Enemy à quoi s’enchaînent pogo et wall of death. Du “repos” qu’il disait ? Niet ! Inner Sanctum qui suivait, malgré la poursuite des hostilités, se présentait en revanche avec une ambiance un peu plus calme et de plus nombreuses voix émanant du public. Vient alors le moment d’annoncer le dernier morceau avec Calamity. Dès le début, la foule applaudit avec entrain et l’énergie est débordante.
Annisokay quitte alors la scène sous de nombreux applaudissements, et le public français lance les acclamations à coup du traditionnel “ohohohoh”. Le groupe ne se fait pas trop prier et remet les pieds sur scène pour le rappel. C’est l’heure de Get Your Shit Together qui s’offre une intro à coups de bruits d’alarmes et de “menace détectée” auxquels les écrans viennent appuyer l’ambiance lourde qui annonce le morceau !
S’en suit alors Come Blue enchaîné dans la foulée. Avant d’entamer le tout dernier morceau, le groupe remercie une nouvelle fois les fans, ajoutant que c’est incroyable pour eux de jouer leurs propres concerts dans d’autres pays devant autant de personnes chantant les paroles de leurs chansons. Il rajoute également le plaisir de ne pas avoir de public prédéfini mais qui inclus de nombreuses personnes différentes, chose qui signifie beaucoup pour eux. STFU débute alors sous les hurlements de fans déchaînés prêts à conclure ce concert en beauté. Le morceau bien lancé, Rudi s’avance vers le public pour se faire porter par les premiers rangs afin de nous offrir le premier “Shut the fuck up” de la chanson, après quoi s’ensuit une énergie démesurée et un dernier bon gros wall of death. Avant de quitter la scène, le groupe remercie une toute dernière fois les fans du Trabendo et ajoute que leurs concerts en France sont toujours géniaux et qu’ils sont prêts à enchaîner sur une autre date sold out au Rex de Toulouse le lendemain. Les deux chanteurs clappent les mains des premiers rangs, et les leurs au passage, et ainsi se clôture la date parisienne de la tournée Abyss Pt. II. Une fois de plus, Annisokay aura apporté une ambiance folle dans la capitale et aura conquis le public comme il sait si bien le faire. Une chose est sûre, ce concert était sportif ! On a hâte de voir jusqu’où leur carrière les portera !

On Tuesday, October 21, Annisokay set the Trabendo on fire. After headlining a sold-out show at La Boule Noire in late 2023, the band returned last year for three French dates supporting Within Temptation, including one at the Adidas Arena. This time, they were back as headliners for their Abyss Pt. II tour, with two sold-out shows in Paris and Toulouse.
After opening for Revnoir in Paris last April the Germans The Narrator were back in France this time supporting Annisokay. The show was scheduled to start at 7:20 p.m. but the first notes were already echoing outside before that along with the singer thanking the crowd in French. As we entered the room the pit was still half empty but it was clear that some dedicated fans were already there. A small group in the middle started headbanging enthusiastically while the rest of the audience remained fairly calm. A few songs in, the singer called for some chaos but the crowd was not quite ready to start a pit yet. He then asked everyone to turn on their phone lights for “Unbind Me” which finally got a warmer response. When the song ended he mentioned it was a special day because it was his girlfriend’s birthday and she had traveled from Germany to see the show. Without hesitation the whole venue joined in to sing Happy Birthday. As the room filled up the set picked up pace. The frontman later spoke about the troubling repetition of history, especially as a German band, and condemned the rise of hateful discourse. The crowd really woke up during the last song “Purgatory”. The first crowdsurfer appeared and the band called for a circle pit. This time the audience responded with energy and The Narrator wrapped things up requesting an “old school” wall of death reminding everyone to look out for each other. Before leaving the stage, the guitarist and drummer jokingly told the audience in French “You can leave now…” “…because Annisokay is really bad”. After a laugh they finally left the stage.

Then came the turn of the British band Heart of a Coward. The lights went down on a room that was not yet full, but already more crowded than before. From the very first song, the band asked for the crowd’s energy, making everyone raise their arms and cheer several times. You could feel that they wanted to start a pit, but for now it was mostly enthusiastic headbanging across the floor. The singer kept asking for the audience’s participation, and the crowd responded well. Then came “Deadweight”. After checking if everyone was having a good time, the singer asked the room to remember “five simple words,” which were “I don’t give a fuck.” The energy rose quickly, and by the end of the song, the audience was shouting the words loudly together. Heart of a Coward then explained that their role was to get the crowd properly warmed up for Annisokay. After those words, the guitarist kept asking for circle pits and walls of death, encouraged by the singer who added “Listen to this man.” After a few intense songs, the singer shouted “Paris, you’re fucking beautiful”. He reminded everyone again that their mission was to prepare us for Annisokay and called for another circle pit. As the last song approached, he asked the crowd to cheer for The Narrator and Annisokay, before announcing “Hollow”. Some people reacted immediately to the name of the track, and the singer asked those who knew it to sing along with him. Even though the fans’ voices were not very loud, the band still managed to get one last moshpit going and to make the whole room shout together with raised fists as the song came to an end.
After a few thanks, it was time for Heart of a Coward to leave the stage. One thing was certain: their warm-up mission was a real success.
As the audience waited for the main act, the staff set up four vertical screens on stage that would later be used for the band’s visuals. After a short wait and a Trabendo now full, the break ended with “Shake It Off” by Taylor Swift playing before the band appeared.
It was time for Annisokay to take the stage with their intro “Into the Abyss”, accompanied by deep-sea visuals projected on the screens. As soon as we heard “Bonsoir Paris,” the band moved straight into “Throne of the Sunse”. The atmosphere was already there, and the crowd wasted no time launching moshpit and a wall of death. Next came “Never Enough”. The audience shouted as soon as the first notes played. Everyone sang the chorus together, which was also displayed on the screens. The energy was already very high and stayed that way with the next track “What’s Wrong”. Rudi, the screamer, thanked the crowd for being there and invited everyone to jump, something he did not need to ask twice. At the end of the song, Christoph, on clean vocals and guitar, said “Salut Paris, we are Annisokay” and invited us to have a good time, something that was already guaranteed. The lights then turned purple, clearly announcing “Ultraviolet”. From the next song, “Like a Parasite”, the first crowdsurfing of the set began. Then came their latest release “Splinters”. Christoph explained that this was the first tour where they were performing the song, which had been released on October 10, the very day their European tour started. Rudi celebrated properly by crowdsurfing over the audience. When the song ended, Christoph complimented the crowd and even dared to say that we were louder than the German audience. He explained that they were currently touring to promote their new album “Abyss The Final Chapter”, which would be released on November 21, and that almost all of the songs had already been revealed. The band continued the set with another new track, “My Effigy”, for which they asked for a circle pit. After a short break in the dark, the promotion of the album continued with “Human”. Annisokay checked the crowd’s energy by asking “Are you still alive?” to which the fans responded with loud screams. The band got the message and asked for headbanging followed by another wall of death. When “Good Stories” ended under cheers and applause, Christoph explained that they were only two weeks into the tour and still had a month to go. He added that Paris would definitely remain one of the highlights of the tour and asked the crowd to make some noise for The Narrator and Heart of a Coward. He then mentioned a song written with another German ban (Any Given Day), for which he needed our voices. As expected, it was time for « H.A.T.E. », and the fans responded perfectly to his request. When the song ended, Christoph said that everyone deserved a break and asked the crowd to crouch down. The band made everyone jump on “Friend or Enemy”, followed by more moshpit and another wall of death. So much for a rest. The next song, “Inner Sanctum”, continued with a slightly calmer mood and louder voices from the audience. Then came the time to announce the last song, “Calamity”. From the very beginning, the crowd clapped with enthusiasm and the energy was overflowing. Annisokay then left the stage to loud applause, while the French audience started chanting the traditional “ohohohoh”. The band did not wait long before coming back for the encore. It was time for “Get Your Shit Together”, introduced with alarm sounds and “threat detected”, perfectly matched by the visuals on the screens. They then played “Come Blue” right after. Before starting the very last track, the band thanked the fans once again, saying how amazing it was for them to play their own shows in other countries in front of so many people singing along to their songs. They also said how meaningful it was to see such a varied audience with so many different people together. “STFU” began with fans screaming, ready to end the night in style. Once into the song, Rudi stepped into the crowd, carried by the front rows, to deliver the first “Shut the fuck up!”. The energy was immense, and one last huge wall of death followed. Before leaving the stage, the band thanked the Trabendo audience one final time, saying that shows in France were always amazing and that they were ready to play another sold-out date the next day at Le Rex in Toulouse. Both singers high-fived the front rows and the show came to an end.
Once again, Annisokay brought an intense atmosphere to Paris and won over the crowd as they always do. One thing is certain, this concert was a workout, and we cannot wait to see how far their career will take them.
