Storm est un nouveau projet solo venu tout droit de Norvège. Leo Davadi Sundli, de son vrai nom, présente ce début album nommée Join The Storm, disponible à partir du 22 Août 2025 par le label Indie Recordings.
Sur cet album l’artiste dit refuser d’être mis dans une boîte et a décidé de faire un mix de tout ce qu’il aime, ça passe donc du Metalcore au Pop-Punk, en passant aussi par le rap, l’EDM ou encore des éléments électroniques référence à un univers numérique, comme le montre Join The Storm, qui me fait penser à Bring Me The Horizon avec leur univers autour de L’ARG, avec un genre de petit personnage qui va être la voix off sur l’entièreté de l’opus. Moonlight est la suite directe avec un titre accrocheur qui a tous les codes d’un banger du Metalcore, avec des riffs lourds et un refrain accrocheur, l’album démarre plutôt bien.
Alien Perspective va plutôt prendre la direction EDM / Rap avec beaucoup de passion et de force, pour un titre un peu court à mon goût, car j’ai vraiment aimé les variantes de rythme et de jeu dans ce morceau. Ce dernier avait une vibe feel good, ce qui est tout le contraire de Walking Dead, qui démarre avec un scream d’une puissance folle, le tout est accompagné par une instru très Metalcore.
Asphyxiate est une interlude assez malaisante faite de respiration haletante qui va durer pendant 1 bonne minute mais qui introduit le titre suivant : Suffocating en feat avec Fixation, groupe de Metalcore norvégien et offre une performance à couper le souffle. Un virage artistique plus tard et on retrouve du Pop-Punk simple et efficace avec Black Hole qui va donner envie de sauter dans tous les sens et de chanter à tue-tête. Fame par contre a un très gros côté Emo, inspiré un peu de Fall Out Boy avec toujours ce côté électro et la mascotte qui revient faire un petit clin d’œil.
Running From My Heart annonce la fin de quelque chose avec des sirènes en introduction comme pour stopper le chaos qui est dessiné depuis le début. Très loin du reste, il livre une performance simple, posée et incroyablement belle avec beaucoup d’émotion dans l’interprétation et qui va exploser à la fin. Et pour conclure Fever Dreams en feat avec Snak The Ripper, artiste Hip-Hop canadien, donnant au titre une rapidité qui colle assez bien et pourrait rappeler le groupe Ten 56, dans la composition et la lourdeur du titre avec toujours ce petit côté Metalcore.
Storm est une excellente découverte pour ma part, j’ai apprécié chaque aspect de sa personnalité. C’est un album incroyable avec une palette de style et de technique plus impressionnante à chaque fois. Chaque chanson est écrite, composé et interprété avec puissance et passion et cela se ressent. Cet album est tout simplement un BANGER !

Storm is a new solo project hailing from Norway. Leo Davadi Sundli, his real name, presents his debut album Join The Storm, available from August 22, 2025, on the Indie Recordings label.
On this album, the artist says he refuses to be pigeonholed and has decided to mix everything he loves, ranging from metalcore to pop-punk, as well as rap, EDM, and electronic elements referencing a digital universe, as shown in Join The Storm, which reminds me of Bring Me The Horizon with their universe around L’ARG, with a kind of little character who acts as the voiceover throughout the entire opus. Moonlight is the direct follow-up with a catchy title that has all the hallmarks of a metalcore banger, with heavy riffs and a catchy chorus. The album gets off to a pretty good start.
Alien Perspective takes a more EDM/rap direction with a lot of passion and power, but the track is a little short for my taste, because I really liked the variations in rhythm and playing in this song. The latter had a feel-good vibe, which is the complete opposite of Walking Dead, which starts with a scream of insane power, accompanied by a very metalcore instrumental.
Asphyxiate is a rather uncomfortable interlude made up of heavy breathing that lasts for a good minute but introduces the next track: Suffocating, featuring Norwegian metalcore band Fixation, and delivers a breathtaking performance. One artistic shift later, and we find ourselves back with simple and effective pop-punk in Black Hole, which makes you want to jump around and sing at the top of your lungs. Fame, on the other hand, has a very strong emo vibe, inspired a little by Fall Out Boy, with the same electro feel and the mascot making a brief appearance.
Running From My Heart heralds the end of something with sirens in the intro, as if to stop the chaos that has been building since the beginning. Very different from the rest, it delivers a simple, calm, and incredibly beautiful performance with a lot of emotion in the interpretation that explodes at the end. And to conclude, Fever Dreams features Snak The Ripper, a Canadian hip-hop artist, giving the track a speed that fits quite well and could remind you of the band Ten 56, in the composition and heaviness of the track, with that little metalcore touch.
Storm is an excellent discovery for me, I appreciate every aspect of his personality. It’s an incredible album with a range of styles and techniques that is more impressive each time. Each song is written, composed, and performed with power and passion, and it shows. This album is simply a BANGER!
